We are your specialists when it comes to roof anchor point design, installation, inspections & certifications. Having a high quality system for roof anchor points is a critical component to ensure the safety of anyone working on roofs. If your building requires any work to be done on a roof, then roof anchor points are essential to reduce the risk of fall for your workers. Having a high–quality system installed is critical to ensure maximum safety and compliance with legislative Standards.
The RISSafety range of roof anchor points have been designed to be used on a wide range of structures and applications such as timber trusses and steel purlins (C or Z section), surface mounted for various metal roof profiles, and use chemical or mechanical fixings in concrete or block work, abseiling applications and a variety of wall surfaces. The RISSafety range of anchors can be installed on all types of tile and metal cladding profiles. Watertight integrity is ensured by the installation of lead flashing, neoprene gaskets or flashing seals.
Our range has been manufactured to the highest standard with all external components made of marine grade stainless steel and designed to ensure there is no deformation under normal use. The anchor points have also in-built load absorption capabilities to minimise impact to a structure in the event of a person experiencing a fall and can be used in fall arrest or fall restraint applications.
We’ve successfully installed hundreds of systems across Australia on industrial and residential builds, commercial structures, government buildings and more. The RISSafety range of anchors can be installed on all types of tile and metal cladding profiles. Watertight integrity is ensured by the installation of lead flashing, neoprene gaskets or flashing seals.
Maintaining roof anchor points
A common question we get from clients is how often roof anchor points should be inspected. In Australia, roof anchor points must be inspected at least every 12 months by a Competent Person. This is the maximum period between inspections for Standards compliance, though legislation does vary by state. In Western Australia, the maximum duration between inspections is six months. It is important to note that all anchor points must be inspected regardless of frequency of use.
In addition to the minimum inspection requirements, roof anchor points must also be inspected:
- After installation, before use
- After any fall event or load application
- After modifications, relocations, or repairs
- After damage, impact, or suspected compromise
- More frequently, if exposed to harsh or corrosive environments such as coastal or industrial locations.
