Height Safety Inspections
RISSafety inspects existing height safety systems and equipment to establish their current condition, identify defects and determine what further action may be required.
Inspections cover the components installed on your building: anchor points, static lines, walkways, ladder systems, guardrails, access hatches and associated hardware; along with height safety equipment in use on site.
Our inspection reports are written to be acted on. Where an inspection identifies a problem, we can tell you what it is, what it affects and what your options are.

Testing
Where testing is required as part of assessing a system, RISSafety can carry it out as part of the same scope.
Testing applies to installed components where the assessment calls for more than a visual inspection. For example, after a new installation, following rectification work, or where the condition or history of an existing system makes verification necessary.
Combining inspection and testing in one engagement avoids the delay and coordination cost of bringing in a separate party.
Certification & Recertification
RISSafety assesses existing systems and provides certification and recertification services where appropriate.
Certification gives you documented evidence that a system has been assessed and is fit for use. For building owners, facility managers and asset managers, that documentation is what supports the decision to let people work at height on the building.
Recertification applies to systems already in service. Where a system has been assessed and any required work completed, RISSafety can issue updated certification and tag the system accordingly.
Planned & Ongoing Maintenance
Height safety systems are exposed to weather, UV, movement and regular use. Components wear. Fixings loosen. Signage fades. Corrosion appears in places that were sound at installation.
RISSafety can support your maintenance requirements on an ongoing basis, whether those requirements are identified through a scheduled inspection or managed under a standing service arrangement.
This matters commercially because it removes a gap most building owners run into: the inspection tells you something needs attention, and then you have to go and find someone to do it. RISSafety can continue looking after the system after it has been installed.

Repairs & Rectification
Where an inspection identifies an issue, RISSafety’s involvement does not have to stop at the report.
Subject to the requirements of the site and the system, we can carry out rectification works and upgrade or replace existing system components. That includes work on systems RISSafety did not originally install.
Where a system is assessed as non-compliant, or where the building’s requirements have changed, rectification may extend to upgrading or replacing part or all of the system.
