Check Out Our Latest Davit Arm Solution

Davit Arm

Keeping up the façade maintenance of a commercial building is no easy task and ensuring the safety of the cleaners working at such heights is our speciality. So when we were asked to provide a solution to enable rope access technicians to clean the outside of the decorative façade for the Jewel Residences based on the Gold Coast, we had just the solution that fit within our client’s budget. Providing Davit Arms that were custom designed by our design team and manufactured in our internal fabrication workshop.

This custom designed Davit Arm solution was manufactured so it could be connected to the building, and we also designed self-contained davit arms that enabled them to be stored when not in use so it didn’t impact on the building’s appearance and aesthetics. A series of permanent connections were installed on the building structure to provide safe access to all areas of the building that needed to be reached.

Davit arms are often a flexible height safety solution as they are designed to remain firm and not flex under normal working loads, and can be rotated 3600 for ease of access, they can be retrofitted to concrete walls or floors and building structures.

With the consultation of our client and various stakeholders, we were able to come up with such a unique and bespoke height safety solution that met their needs. The entire system is compliant with the Australian Standards to ensure workers remain safe when performing cleaning and maintenance activities enabling the building to be maintained to provide the tenants and guests with a beautiful and well maintained building all while delivering terrific views of the Gold Coast.
